Two of the largest global environmental organizations unite for a waste-free world
Lets Do it India is proud to announce that its global parent organization Let's Do It World NGO and EARTHDAY.ORG are joining hands to help launch World Cleanup Day 2022 on 17th of September this year. The aim is to create a "global movement for a waste-free world that will change the course of human history", says Heidi Solba, President of Let's Do it World.
EARTHDAY.ORG is a global organization whose mission is to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide. Growing out of the first Earth Day in 1970, EARTHDAY.ORG is the world’s largest recruiter to the environmental movement, working with more than 150,000 partners in over 192 countries to drive positive action for our planet.
As part of this initiative, Let's Do it India, the Indian chapter of the Let's Do It World, will be launching pan-India cleanup events in all 29 states. LDII is all set to take part in the upcoming WCD 2022, with a proven track record of over 62,000 tonnes of waste collected with the help of a large home-grown volunteer network of over 18 lakhs. India will be taking part in this joint initiative along with 190 other countries and 38 crore people around the world.
To be a part of the volunteer effort for World Cleanup Day 2022.
